ARU Announces Development
Clinics
About the Clinic
You're invited to attend the ARU Player Development Clinic. The clinic
will feature the coaching expertise of Paul Bergman, Head Coach of the
2007 National Champion Midwest Thunderbirds and Paul Vercoe, Head Coach
of the Chicago West Side Condors RFC, and Jenny Jasper, Asst.
Coach of the Midwest U23 Women, on Sunday. Also, we're inviting
coaches to observe and help out .
Here's the schedule for Sat.
10 am: Coach briefing
10 am: Player sign in
10:30 - 11:30: Video Session in the Pitt Student Union Room 527

It's a 10 story orange brick building right across the street from the
Cathedral of Learning (which is a 39 story, stone building and
impossible to miss).
noon - til finish: Active sessions in Pitt's Cost Center
Schedule for Sunday: Jenny Jaspers will run the session, Paul
Vercoe will assist. Player sign in at 9:30 at the Cost Center
ONLY. Do not report to the Student Union on Sunday
The men's clinic will be on Saturday, Feb.17th, and the women's will be
on Sunday, Feb. 18th. Cost will be $25. Players who are not CIPP
compliant will not be eligible to participate, so please get that
squared away as soon as possible. You will need to provide proof of
CIPP compliance upon registration.
Lunch will be provided in the afternoon, and water will be provided
throughout. You will need to bring along a full rugby kit. That
includes sneakers, sweatpants, rugby shorts, a rugby jersey, and
mouthguard, etc.
The venue will be Pitt's Charles L. Cost Center. I'm sure you'll be
able to find the directions on Mapquest, but here is a link to the Pitt

Cost Center located in the upper left corner of the map in red.
Please plan on attending. This clinic is guaranteed to increase your
knowledge of the game, and thus, your level of play. I'll be there with
bells on (IRB approved of course :o) and I hope to see you all there as
well.
